Our co-founders, Whit and Sawyer Merritt, are twin brothers, who grew up in a lively family with two sets of twin boys. Growing up in New England, they learned to appreciate nature and to experience the woods, lakes, mountains, and wildlife around them. The Merritt twins share many core values, such as respect for healthy living and the preservation of our planet.

Upon learning of the harmful environmental effects of the conventional clothing industry, they embarked on a mission to develop a sustainably-sourced clothing brand to support an urgently needed change in the fashion industry.

Twin Birch is dedicated to educating consumers regarding the environmental degradation resulting from conventional clothing manufacturing practices, as well as working to improve the design and production of innovative, comfortable, and sustainable clothing. We describe our products as Conscious Comfort.
